Marten Models and Molds builds production fixtures for sheet metal parts and plastic parts. We are an approved FCA / Stellantis source. Satisfying your part feature requirements while using our experience in meeting your budget requirements.
Using Lasers to measure offer an opportunity to check those "hard to get to surfaces" along with measuring surfaces that can't be checked with an Indicator or LVDT. This system collects the data, identifies out of tolerance features and measures all required dimensions quickly.
- With a Window of 72" x 192" x 62'' increases our capabilities to handle the largest tools and parts. Our inspection team has many years experience in CMM layout and follow best practices to certify the gages or perform part layouts.
Marten Models & Molds build a variety of Headrest tools and arm rest tools for Tier one automotive companies. These are pour-in-place tooling, which are tools that have the covers in them at time of pouring the foam, for a complete finished part
We design and build a variety of Prototype Assembly weld fixtures to customers requirements. The weld fixture shown is for a Lower Door Inner. Aluminum details on an aluminum base with steel pins, nets/clamps that locate each part prior to being welded.
The Assembly check fixture shown is used for checking the final welded Assembly. Aluminum details on 1-1/4'' aluminum base is built to the supplied GD&T with pins, nets/clamps, and swing assemblies to check entire assembly. This fixture was supplied with a welded steel cart with casters that enables the fixture to be moved easily.
The Z/A shown is for a draw die Door. This Z/A is being roughed on our 75 hp rougher and then will finish cut on one of our 120” × 72” × 72” 4-axis finish mills. We are capable of cutting Z/A as large as a full bodyside panel.
Here is an example of our standard 3mm fixture, built out of gray plank and on a 1'' alum base plate. This particular fixture is for a Door Inner that locates the part to a required datum scheme from the GD&T.
Our Prototype shop CMM certifies our fixtures to tolerances required. With an inspection travel of 60'' x 96'' x 60'' we're able to certify most fixtures. For certification of fixtures that require a larger window we use our 72" x 192" x 62'' Production CMM .
